About WAICCON 2026

Organized by Shout Climate Change Africa and Partners

The 2026 West Africa International Climate Conference, themed "Climate Resilience for Sustainable Development in West Africa" is focused on finding solutions to environmental challenges affecting West Africa and the world.

Urgent action must be taken to save the world from environmental challenges that might affect us all in the nearest future if actions are not taken now.

The conference will convene ECOWAS Countries, Africa Union, UN Agencies, European Union, Key Government Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Civil Society Organizations, Environmental specialists, and global stakeholders.

The objective is to call on governments, institutions, financial actors, and environmental specialists to promote a green, healthy, and resilient response to climate change and environmental issues affecting development in the sub-region.
